We’re Out There

2012/04/17

The spring event season has begun and it’s a great time of year. It gives RSPA an opportunity to visit with many of our members – both resellers and vendors – and keep in touch with latest industry trends.

Recently three members of the RSPA staff were able to attend BlueStar’s “What’s Brewing” event in RSPA’s home city of Charlotte, North Carolina. The event featured product demonstration areas by APG Cash Drawer, Datalogic, Epson and TE Connectivity/ELO. What was exciting about the venue is that it gave us a chance to meet with several members; many of whom we typically may not have a chance to speak with at a national event. We were also able to meet several non-members and let them know about the benefits of membership.

It’s key that your industry association hears what is going on in the marketplace and most importantly the issues that are affecting our members’ businesses and ultimately the industry. It gives us an opportunity to do a “rationality check” on the association’s activities, and identify new issues.

In the next few months we will be at several vendor events visiting with reseller members including BlueStar, CAP Software, IBM, Ingram Micro, NCR, Ready Distribution and ScanSource. However, you don’t have to wait to see us at an event. You can always reach me by email at jfinizio@GoRSPA.org. We like communicating with our members; we need to be out there and in touch.

What industry events will you be attending? Leave a comment with your event or an event you’ll be attending. Maybe we can plan to meet up while we are there.

By the way…
Did you know that we add our members’ events to our online industry calendar for free? And we publish them in ‘connect‘. You can submit your Point of Sale and Retail Technology Industry Events today. Also, don’t forget to also add us to your Press Contacts for any updates and press releases you are sending out: Publications@GoRSPA.org
