Jet Pay

In 4-5 sentences, describe your business.

JetPay is a Top-10 full end-to-end real-time payment processor handling debit/credit cards, ACH payments, gift cards, and international payment transactions. Our unique XML architectured front end authorization platform is built for high speed, scalability, flexibility with the highest up-times in the industry. Developers, VARs and merchants can connect directly to JetPay with simple integration without the need of a 3rd party gateway which removes an extra layer of expense and potential point of failure.  Our ability and willingness to provide custom payment features and solutions along with our feature-rich, rules-based platform sets us apart from the older legacy and mainframe batch-only oriented authorization platforms in the marketplace.

How long have you been involved in the retail technology industry?

We have been involved in the retail technology space for around 20 years. Although we historically focused more heavily in the ecommerce space, technology and card association changes are shifting the retail environment related to payment solutions. This shift is causing retail technology providers to seek out more flexible and custom solutions which JetPay is perfectly positioned to provide in the marketplace.

What attracted you to RSPA?

JetPay has always worked with Developers, VARs and software developers in various market segments. With the rising demand for more flexible, scalable and customized processing solutions, JetPay recently created a new VAR/Developer division designed to support the needs of retail partners. Our new Vice President of VARs, Shauna Meyer-Reimers, is familiar with the RSPA from her past experiences and believes that the RSPA will be one of JetPay’s most valuable resources for our new division.

What are the core values of your company?

To put it simply, our core values are focused around our relationships.  We view our relationships with VARs, developers, and customers as true partnerships. Successful partnerships require a continuous understanding of partners’ needs and the ability to adapt, customize and innovate payment solutions to meet ever-changing requirements. We built our processing platform to adapt and scale with any opportunity related to payments. Our questions and motto to our partners are: ‘In a perfect world, what would you change…or what features would you add…or what do you need done regarding your payment processing program?’ Then, due to our advanced technology, we’re able to swiftly build and provide, if we don’t already have it.

Name one fun fact that makes your company different from your competitors.

We’re a fun management group who likes to ‘cut up’ and have fun with our clients, while also making sure we service them and meet their needs. We like to be different.  At our trade shows we’re known as that company ‘with the screaming bright orange shirts’ who can solve the out-of-the-box scenarios. At shows, we actually have competitors send people to our booth when they can’t handle the ‘special little feature’ required.

What is the most encouraging thing you see for the future of the retail technology industry?

Between the arrival of Chip and PIN enforcement on U.S. card issuers by card brands and new company types competing in the payments space, a new class of both hardware and software solutions has materialized. The new solutions are meeting the needs of retailers down to POS level. Whether it be tablet and mobile, mwallet/ewallet, or other alternative payment solutions, these innovations are forcing retail technology leaders to push the envelope on pioneering payment solutions.  JetPay is thrilled to be working with the RSPA and its membership base to leverage advanced technologies.
